"iPhone 6" Concept by Ciccarese Design. |
In addition to the rumours and assumptions
related to Apple's greatly expected "iPhone 6" unveiling, a doubtful
report on earlier today claims that Apple to launch iPhone 6 on October 14.
MacRumors, in a report quoting an internal Apple Retail
Store meeting, suggests that the Cupertino-based giant might be planning to
launch the much anticipated iPhone 6 on October 14, which happens to be a
Tuesday - a day when Apple habitually makes its declarations, followed by the
release generally the same Friday.

Though the new iPhone 6 may first appear in October assuming this
information is on the money, Apple in point of fact would introduce the phone
at an occasion planned for September 16, according to the source.
For the past many years, Apple has usually unveiled the new
iPhone in September and then launched it before the month ends. That line of
attack has allowed the company to apply sales of a new iPhone to the September
quarter to help increase economic results before the quarter comes to an end. Launching
the iPhone 6 in October would put a depression in Apple's economic fourth-quarter
results.
Apple is likely to launch two redesigned iPhone 6 models that
are a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 with many look forward for a
slimmed-down profile, superior components like an "A8" processor and perhaps
more committed storage. A believed iPhone 6 logic board leak last week
suggested the insertion of 802.11ac Wi-Fi and NFC support, though the rumour is
unconfirmed.
According to MacRumors' source, Apple wants to push release
up earlier in the week because of high customer demand and heavy supply of the
product as a result of greater than before production.
Recently, a report suggested that because of production issues the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 launch might be pushed to December. Besides, the report also said Apple would introduce its long-rumoured smartwatch (rumoured to be called iTime), together with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 (also rumoured to be called the iPhone Air), in December.

While it is not clear why Apple changed its tradition and is waiting for October to lash out its brand new smart phone. In addition to a larger screen, both versions of the iPhone 6 are likely to feature a thinner side view, a faster A8 processor, and an enhanced camera.
