Reason Why Android Users Are Jealous of iPhone Users

Android users are a high and mighty group and are typically not in agreement of admitting that they’re jealous of iPhone users. However, there’s one area where even the most diehard Android fan has to agree that iPhone users have it better: Software upgrades. Reports from Apple Insider notes that 78% of iOS users have now upgraded to iOS 7, a remarkable performance for an update that was released about four months ago.

In comparison with Android, the latest numbers released by Google show that only 55% of all Android users are using devices that run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher, even after Google first released Jelly Bean all the way back in the summer of 2012. What’s really surprising is that, Google said that just over 1% of Android users have upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of the OS that was released to users in November. iOS 7, in comparison, reportedly earned a 60% adoption rate just one week after it was released.
